Billy Poole Memorial Day

On January 22nd, 2008 a good friend and great skier passed away. Billy Poole personified passion for skiing and a year to the date later, his friends and fellow shredders gathered a top Wolverine Cirque, the last place Billy ever shredded some turns in, to swap stories, tip some whiskey and honor a fallen fellow. I've lost many friends to skiing. It's a serious sport with serious consequences. None of the lost will be forgotten and we will all carry on skiing because all of us that ski have accepted that fact that death is a part of skiing, but skiing could never be not be a part of life for us.
